4.1 What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels, and tags. Some are essential for the site to work; others are optional and used only with your permission.
4.2 Who is responsible
Big Joe Lift Trucks Inc., 1112 E Dominguez St, Carson, CA 90746 — sales@bigjoeca.com — controls cookies set by this website for our own purposes. Third parties (if you opt into their categories later) may set their own cookies under their policies.
4.3 How we use cookies
| Mode | Behavior |
|---|---|
| Default | Strictly necessary only |
| Optional | GA4 (Analytics) and Google Ads (Marketing) are not loaded on this website — including after opt-in. If we enable them later they would load only after the matching opt-in, and we would update this page |
| Banner UX | Accept all · Reject non-essential · Manage (equal access) |
| Change anytime | Footer Cookie settings or browser controls |
| GPC | Honored as opt-out of sale/share + marketing where implemented |
Important: Closing the banner or browsing away without Accept/Manage save is not consent.
We honor the browser Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as an opt-out of the sale or sharing of personal information; when GPC is present we keep Analytics and Marketing off automatically. See the Global Privacy Control section of our Privacy Policy for how it works and how it interacts with an explicit choice.
4.4 Cookie categories
| Category | Status | Purpose | Tool (if/when enabled) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Always on | Security, load balancing, remembering consent choice, basic function | Consent cookie; Cloudflare/host security as applicable |
| Analytics | Not loaded (even after opt-in) | Traffic, funnels, content performance, conversion analysis — reserved; no tag ships today | Google Analytics 4 (GA4) — not loaded |
| Marketing | Not loaded (even after opt-in) | Ad measurement, conversion tagging, advertising audiences — reserved; no tag ships today | Google Ads — not loaded |
Scaffolded off (not loaded unless flag enabled + marketing consent): Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, Microsoft Advertising UET.
4.5 Cookies in use now
| Name / pattern | Provider | Category | Duration | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|---|
(consent lib — e.g. cc_cookie) | Big Joe / cookieconsent | Necessary | Per library | Stores category preferences |
| (Cloudflare / host) | Cloudflare | Necessary | Session / short | CDN security / performance |
*_ga* / GA4 patterns | Analytics | Not set | Reserved — GA4 is not loaded on this website | |
| Google Ads / conversion / remarketing patterns | Marketing | Not set | Reserved — Google Ads tags are not loaded on this website |
4.6 Managing your choices
- Use the on-site cookie consent banner (first visit and “manage preferences”).
- Browser controls: block or delete cookies (necessary cookies may be required for the site to function).
- If we enable sale/share or advertising cookies in the future, we will honor applicable opt-out preference signals (including Global Privacy Control where required) and update this page.
4.7 California privacy rights
California residents have rights to know, access, delete, and correct personal information, and to opt out of sale/sharing. We do not sell personal information for money. We do not currently share data with Google for analytics or advertising — those tags are not loaded. Reject non-essential cookies, Cookie settings, or GPC remain the opt-out path if we enable them later. Full details: Privacy Policy.
